ProMICAD prompt sheet

The questions below can provide a starting point for discussion and reflection following the making of a personal profile, either in a one-to-one situation between an advisor and user or in larger group situations where users may work independently or in small groups of 2 or 3, sharing ideas and recording answers for each individual:

  1. What kind of working situation might suit someone with a profile like yours (for example, working alone, in a team, being in charge, or dealing with people)?
  2. The Mentoring Plan shows many jobs and careers that could suit a person with your profile. Did any of the suggestions in the Mentoring Plan interest you?
  3. Would you be prepared to start training or take up further education courses to qualify for the job(s) that interest you?
  4. If you have careers ideas in mind, do the personal qualities and characteristics needed for these match your profile?
  5. If not, how do they differ?
  6. Select two of the statements from your profile. Can you think of a recent situation where you have displayed these qualities?
  7. Can you think of a recent situation you have experienced, where displaying any of the qualities in your profile was or could have been helpful?
